The Beatles slid into the number 2 slot – held off by the Supreme’s second number one single in a row. The Honeycombs made their final entrance into the Top 100 with “I Can’t Stop”. This is one of two U.S. 45 picture sleeves – the other being the highly sought afer “Colour Slide”.
The Spotnicks
The Spotnicks were a dazzling Swedish instrumental group that formed in the early 1960’s. When I see this video I can’t help but think about Devo. Patterned much alike the Ventures and England’s Shadows – and like both they released a ton of instrumental albums into the 1970’s. They definitely exuded the “Beat” persona^!
