Out of Kentucky – Ray Smith’s  “Rockin’ Little Angel” was his best showing (#22 in January of 1960.  He followed it with “Put Your Love Around Me Honey” later in the same year at #91 – and finally “One Wonderful Love” in August, 1960 (#103).  Ray took his own life in 1979.  Here is Ray Smith’s story.

Dale Wright broke onto the scene in 1958 with “She’s Neat” (#38 in January).  “That’s My Gal” didn’t make it in 1959.   His only other appearance was also in 1958 with “Please Don’t Do It” (#77).   Read Dale’s story as posted by the artist!

Jesse Lee Turner was truly a ‘one hit wonder’ with “The Little Space Girl” (#20 in 1959.  Jesse came out of Bowling, Texas and worked early-on for Jerry Lee Lewis during the Sun years.  Visit Black Cat Rockabilly for his story.
