The Mindbenders….

….formed in the mid 1960’s.  They backed singer Wayne Fontana as the Jets and then the Mindbenders.  The group included Eric Stewart – guitar  – later with 10CC and Hotlegs in the 1970s; Bob Lang – bass; and Rick Rothwell – drums.   Other members included George Roberts – drums – formerly with The Excheckers and Jimmy O’Neil on keyboards – formerly with The Uglys (1967).

Back Beat A to Z: Anon

Anon formed around 1966 and ran until about 1968.  Early members inclued Rivers Job (bass) formerly with the Spiders – He went to he Savoy Brown Blues Band; Richard MacPhail (vocals); Rob Tyrell (drums); Anthony Phillips (rhythm guitar) formerly with the Spiders; then to Genesis (1967); and Michael Rutherford (guitar)to Genesis (1967).
