1967 – The Baskerville Hounds – Dot DLP 258323 – “Featuring Space Rock, Part 2”

The Baskerville Hounds formed in 1968 in Cleveland, Ohio – They were originally known as “The Majestics” then the Dantes and finally the Tulu Babies – Original members included Doug McCutcheon, Larry Meese, and John Kirkpatrick, Bill Emery and Dante Rossie.

1968 – The Beacon Street Union – MGM E-4517 – “The Eyes of the Beacon Street Union”

The Beacon Street Union formed in Boston in 1966 – Members were John Lincoln Wright, Paul Tarachny, Wayne Ulaky, Robert Rhodes and Richard Weisberg. One of the not-so-notorious “Bosstown Sound” groups.

1965 – The Beau Brummels – Autumn LP 103 – “Introducing the Beau Brummels”

The Beau Brummels formed in 1964 in San Francisco, California – Members were Sal Valentino, Ron Meagher, Decian Mulligan and John Peterson.  Meagher and Mulligan had been in a group called “The Stepping Stones”.

1967 – The Beethoven Soul – Dot DLP 25821 – “The Beethoven Soul”

The Beethoven Soul were Andrea Kouratou, Bill Powell, Dick Lewis, John Lambart, Otis Hale and Terry Nu.

1965 – The Big Beats – Liberty LRP 3407 – “Live! At the Off Broadway”

The Big Beats formed in 1957 and generally backed mainstream rock and roll acts in live appearances.  They were purported to be Columbia Records’ first rock and roll act – They toured with some heavies including Buddy Holly, Gene Vincent, Roy Orbison and Ricky Nelson.

Members included C.W. Kendall Jr., Bobby Rambo, Earl Slocumb, Larry Randall and Billy Mitchell among many others.

1967 – Big Black – UNI 3012 – “Message to Our Ancestors”

Big Black was born in 1934 in Danny Ray – He began performing in the 1950’s  as a percussionist and worked with Dizzy Gillespie, B.B. King and many more.

1969 – Black Pearl – Atlantic SD 8220 – “Black Pearl”

Black Pearl was Bernie Fieldings, Bruce Benson, Oak O’Connor, Geoffrey Morris, Tom Mulcahy and Jerry Causi. out of San Francisco, California.  They formed in 1967.  Morris, Causi and Benson had been with “The Barbarians.
