  1. It’s funny how much the number of hits that come out of all these ads vary. Very few of the records promoted in this 1955 issue made it. On the other hand, in 1960, most of the records plugged in the magazine became hits. The luck of the draw, I guess.

    • Brian – I wonder if by 1960 the record labels were more savvy of where their bread was buttered and thus more apt to stick with the ‘big name’ artists when spending advertising money
