From the Land of Band Box Records

Divinity Records

Divinity was aimed at the Gospel music market but only managed to produce a handful of singles – The output for Divinity was assigned to Motown producer George Fowler – Berry Gordy packed in the label in 1963 turning his attention to his major stars and labels.

45 – Divinity 99004 – The Wright Specials – July, 1962

The Wright Specials in live performances only included Agatha Weston who would soon record as “Kim Weston” – Beyond that only group pianist is know – he was George’s brother but I can’t locate a first name.

45 – Divinity 99005 – The Wright Specials – June, 1963

45 – Divinity 99006 – The Gospel Stars – July, 1963

45 – Divinity 99007 – The Burnadettes – May, 1963

It was ten months between the Divinity debut and this single – Again, the artists are unknown

45 – Divinity 99008 – Liz Lands –  We Shall Overcome/Trouble in This Land (unreleased) 1963
