They were known as HDH in Detroit. They were brothers Eddie and Brian Holland and Lamont Dozier. From 1962 until 1968 they laid down the “Sound of Young America” – or the quintessential “Motown Sound”. From Brian Holland’s debut with Motown outing with “Please Mr. Postman” by the Marvelettes in 1962 (#1) to their last “Forever Came Today” by the Supremes in 1968 – and far beyond with their work at the Hot Wax and Invictus record labels – they leave an enduring legacy to be enjoyed for all time.
