WE ARE PROUD TO INDUCT FOLK SINGER BOB LIND INTO THE POP BOP ROCK HONOR ROLL
Denver Folkie Harry Tuft & the Denver Folklore Center
The Denver Folklore Center was originally located a 108 East 17th Street in the “Swallow Hill District”.
Some who performed here were Judy Collins, Ravi Shankar, Pete Seeger, Earl Scruggs, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot, Joan Baez, Tom Paxton, Arlo Gutherie and local Judy Roderick later of 60,000,000 Buffalo.
Former member of the “Journeymen” – a group that included ‘Papa’ John Phillips and Scott MacKenzie – Dick Weissman was a regular at the Folk Center as he was a Denver resident.
The Center closed at its original location in 1980 but was reopened by Tuft in a new location in 1993. Tuft retired in 2016 relinquishing ownership.

Denver Folklore Center Performers 1960s thru 1979
I am only listing a single appearance at the Center for the musicians, since many of them appeared time and time again. I attempt to list an early appearance where I am able.
Also, I have added some extras such as the silent film nights at the Center and I have included a separate section for “news” articles and such toward the end of the Post. Also – at times – the ad listings misspelled names which I attempted to correct when I could.
The list does not claim to be a total listing, but I will continue to keep searching for more!
