RANDY VANWARMER: “JUST WHEN I NEEDED YOU MOST” – Randy died too young; he was a great guy and remarkably talented. We saw Todd Rundgren together at a radio concert at Levon Helm’s house in Woodstock, NY, where his brother Ron is still a DJ on the legendary WDST Radio Woodastock.
THE KNACK: “MY SHARONA” – that’s really Sharona on the picture sleeve, Sharona Alperin, who was a lifelong friend and would-be girlfriend of songwriter Doug Feiger. She was also a young teenager at the time, self-admittedly maybe 16 or 17 – you couldn’t have a cover like that now!
