    I was surprised to learn only recently that Joe Barry is a white dude. Darn, he sounded a lot like Fats!

    • My second son James for a time refused to believe that Len Barry was white – Dennis Yost fit that category and I was fooled by the lead for the O’Kaysions on “Girl Watcher” – Donnie Weaver – Mystifying how a group can deliver a great song like “Girl Watcher” and then just silently fade away. They never charted again and yes “Girl Watcher” went to number 6 R&B (number 5 Hot 100).

      According to ‘Wiki’ O’Kaysion Wayne Pittman who composed the hit – is still going with a group of non-original “O’Kaysions”.
