Here are a selection of the folks who were the voices behind so many of the Disney Characters – Some of these folks provided many, many voices – Just picked out my favorites here!

The Stars Behind the Disney Voices

Oswald the Rabbit (where it all began)

This is the little guy who started it all back in 1927 when Universal Studios contracted with Walt Disney to produce Oswald. Things did not go really well for Oswald and Disney – but that was the event that led to the creation of an entertainment mega corporation and the most famous cartoon character in the history of the world Mickey Mouse!

Under Disney, Oswald did not have a voice, appearing only in silent films. A bit later, with Universal, many would provide the voice over starting with Bill Nolan, the Pinto Colvig, followed by Mickey Rooney and then many more.

Ironically, in the mid 1990s, Disney would once again acquire Oswald back into the Disney stable.
